No one could have told me how doors would open for me the day I said yes to becoming a licensed beauty professional. 

The day I did, my creativity was unleashed.

I didn't know how stepping into the shoes of a professional not only changed how I saw myself but it also changed how others saw me. They trusted not only my skills but the level of professionalism I brought to the industry.  To them I was no longer a hairstylist that could do their hair. I was a licensed beauty professional with a deeper understanding of hair from a educational perspective. 

That title caused new clients to seek me out. People that wouldn't have sat in my seat otherwise. Some professionals themselves. It also gave me a level of recognition I had not experienced.  

As you consider taking your skills to the next level and are faced with al the reasons why you shouldn't remember. There will always be hurdles in any endeavor you choose, but equally so, there are so many more doors of opportunity that will open for you when you back your skill with a solid education mixed with purpose.
